Both parties are legally bound by the content within this document. You are obliged to read this document thoroughly and ask for clarification of any points you do not understand.

Thank you!

1) Payment

Payment can be made by cash and direct deposit, all in AUD. If the balance or any part of the balance (e.g. deposit) is made before, we will take the paid amount off from the full price and the outstanding balance has to be paid on the time of handing over the car to the clients. Please keep in mind, cars will be only handed out after the full amount is cleared in our bank account or received in cash.

2) Transfer of registration in NSW

The vehicle papers you receive from OZ TRAVEL are valid proof of ownership. It is your responsibility as the new owner to take the vehicle registration paper to the NSW Service (branches are located all over NSW) to pay your Stamp Duty (3%) and Transfer Fee ($32) within 14 days of the date of sale. If you fail to pay these taxes within the 14-day period, you will be charged a late fee and possibly a fine.
If you are stopped by the Police within the transfer period and asked for proof of ownership the vehicle registration paper prove that you are the legal owner of the car. You must transfer the registration into your name before you can legally sell the car or extend the registration. The new owner will not be responsible for the payment of your taxes. Furthermore, you will be required to pay the tax before being permitted to extend your registration or sell the car.

Registered vehicles can be driven all over Australia. Furthermore, you can extend your registration online with Service NSW.

3) Maintaining your vehicle

As the owner of the vehicle it is your responsibility to maintain it to insure it runs properly all the time. The small investment on maintenance will reduce the potential of breakdowns and expensive repairs in the future. Furthermore it helps to maintain roadworthiness and contributes to greater reliability, economy and resale value. Smaller jobs like topping up engine oil, adding coolant and checking the water levels are something you can easily do on your own. Major problems like fluid leakages and suspension problems are best identified by a professional. So when in doubt ask a mechanic or call for roadside assistance!

  •  Fluids/Fuels

The driver is responsible to check, at least daily and maintain all fluid levels and must immediately rectify. Topping up a vehicle that is losing water somehow is not rectifying the problem. Rectification means a fit and proper diagnosis and repair. OZ TRAVEL cannot stress enough your responsibility in this regard. Continued operation of the vehicle after a defect has occurred may lead to serious consequential damage to the engine for which you will be held responsible.

  • Overheating class

We cannot stress enough the risks of continued driving if your car begins to overheat, or if it has a known cooling system problem of any kind. If your temperature gauge moves in a direction that is a close to red, stop immediately, investigate, call for NRMA Roadside Assistance on 131111. Do NOT wait for it to cool and drive again as you may cause further catastrophic damage to your engine, for which you WILL be held liable. Driving with an inoperative temperature gauge voids all coverage.

4) Claims procedure

Contact OZ TRAVEL via email, whatsapp or call us on 0413853217 and have your vehicle registration number ready. OZ TRAVEL will not be responsible, liable, or make any payment for repairs commenced or incurred without the company’s prior authourisation. OZ TRAVEL reserves the right to direct the vehicle to it’s preferred repairer. All repairs must be performed by a licensed motor vehicle mechanic in a workshop approved by OZ TRAVEL . Authorization is dependant upon a check that your particular claim is valid. An independent inspection of the vehicle may be ordered by OZ TRAVEL to check the validity of the claim. If the claim is valid, OZ TRAVEL will at its discretion, arrange for or give approval for an approved repairer to repair the vehicle.

5) Deposits

Once a deposit is placed on a vehicle with any Licensed Motor Dealer you are legally bound to purchase that vehicle and the payment in full is expected within a timely manner of up to 4 business days. You are not legally entitled to a refund of the deposit. OZ TRAVEL will never demand full payment if you decide after placing a deposit that you no longer wish to purchase the car. However, OZ Travel can offer you to use your deposits towards another vehicle in exceptional circumstances and entirely at its discretion.

6) Roadside Assistance with NRMA

NRMA road service is provided under your name and membership number.  Please refer to your NRMA Membership details. The coverage provided is Standard, please refer to the NRMA for details of membership benefits, services and coverage.

7) Optional AWN & Warranty

In case you decide to get an optional warranty extension from AWN we like to inform you, that you are purchasing an independent product that is not related to any OZ TRAVEL services. All claims have to be sent directly to AWN.

8) Disclaimer
